A Tale of Two Houses
Winnetka, Illinois
Every long-term client story has a beginning, and this one started with a leap. While Andrea was quietly designing her own family home, a future client saw her work in the city and insisted she take on their family project, becoming ANDREA GOLDMAN'S very first client. This house became home as Andrea and the homeowners gently redefined what comfort could feel like. Over time, they began to rethink everything—what home looked like, how they wanted to gather, and the role this property would play in their lives.

When the adjacent lot became available, the story expanded into a compound. The original house, more traditional in tone, was joined by a second structure with a more modern sensibility. Instead of feeling disjointed, the two began to speak to each other—a fluency between old and new, classic and contemporary, memory and possibility. Now, the property evolved into something deeply personal, a place layered with history, comfort, and continuity—a legacy client, a legacy home, both still in conversation.
